Invite-only Beta Terms
What it means to use Cusp while it's invite-only. No NDA — you can talk about Cusp publicly.
Last updated
Cusp is currently available by invitation. These beta terms add to the Terms of Service while that's the case. If they conflict, these beta terms win for beta features.
There's no NDA
You don't have to keep Cusp secret. You're welcome to write, post, stream and talk about your experience, including screenshots and benchmarks, good or bad. We only ask that you:
- don't publish other people's data, or anything you see in someone else's shared workspace or session;
- don't publish security vulnerabilities before we've had a chance to fix them (see our vulnerability disclosure policy); and
- don't share, sell or post your invitation link or sign-in details.
What "beta" means
- Things change. Features may change, move between plans, or be removed. Some are labelled "Preview" or "Coming soon" and may be unfinished.
- No service levels. The Cloud and the Managed Gateway don't have uptime commitments during the beta, unless your order form says otherwise. We'll still do our best and tell you about planned maintenance.
- Your data. We take the same care with your data during the beta as afterwards. Your sessions and artifacts stay on your device unless you turn on sync. Still, keep backups and use version control: beta software can have bugs. If we ever need to reset or migrate beta data in the Cloud, we'll give you at least 14 days' notice and a way to export it first, except in an emergency.
- Limits. We may apply usage limits, caps, rate limits and per-account trial credits, and change them during the beta.
- Support. Support is by email and through the community channels on our site, on a best-effort basis.
Fees during the beta
Free features are free. If you choose a paid plan or use the Managed Gateway beyond your free allowance, the normal pricing, the Refund and Cancellation Policy and your statutory rights apply. We'll tell you at least 30 days before anything that's free during the beta starts to cost money, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.
Feedback
We'd love your feedback. If you send it, you let us use it to improve Cusp, without owing you anything. Your feedback doesn't give us any rights in your code or other content.
Ending the beta or your invitation
We may end the invite-only period (for example, by opening Cusp to everyone) or end the beta of a particular feature. We may also withdraw an invitation that hasn't been used. Ending your access to the Services follows section 16 of the Terms of Service.
Liability
During the beta, free features are provided "as is", to the extent the law allows. Our liability to you is as set out in section 20 of the Terms of Service, and nothing here limits your statutory rights as a consumer.
